Hey everyone, I just put on my 2" daystar and added some very nice looking 245/75/16 Fierce Attitude M/Ts. Looks great but I'm looking for the wide stanced shouldered look, I'm still running the stock rims for now. (Looking at US Wheel 844 Stealh Daytona lockring style as seen on summit if anyone has any input on that wheel it would be much appreciated also!!) Is anyone running that size tire with that lift and spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers? Any troubles as far as rubbing or any other concerns? (I know the look I want will cut down on the serious offroading capabilities of my KK, but it's my DD and just sees a little bit of light trails and creeks to get to my property in WV.) Thanks to anyone who has any input on this!! I'm Brian from Pittsburgh by the way if there is any other lost jeeps out there send me a DM! I know I've seen a gun metal grey jeep aruba west mifflin with an ATH bumper sold from C3 kia!

Hey Brian welcome to LOST
You'd be better off just getting that wheel in a 4" backspace and skipping the spacers.
Nice looking wheels, I think the gunmetal might look good on a black KK.
These would be the ones you'd want:

You may get some rubbing on the pinch weld, which is fixable by pulling the plastic back, pounding it down, then heat forming the plastic flat again.

What he said, use that wheel with those specs , 7 inches wide and 4 inches of backspacing , and you'll be fine. No use getting spacers etc.
Also do yourself a favor and get some Teraflex bumpstops for the front , will prolong the replacement of the UCAs for a while using that lift

Thanks, the whole backspacing/offset thing is so hard to understand since I can't find the info for the stock wheels. If yinz think that wheel should give me the look I'm going for then I will definitely just get those wheels. I never even saw the gun metal weeks just the black I'm glad you found them! I think they will look great especially if I paint the mock bead lock ring black. I will look into the new bump stops as well, the kk family is great!

7" wide and 4" of backspacing will put you flush with the fenders. It should work perfectly(assuming your stock springs haven't sagged too much yet). If you do have some rubbing you can just pound the pinch weld. Not sure how far out you want to go though. The farther out you go the more chance of rubbing, just a reminder.

As for stock wheels, I believe they're 7" wide with 5.5" of backspacing.

West Mifflin! Grew up and went to high school at Baldwin, and work out of a shop (be it I'm a mobile technician) in Monroeville.

Flush with the flares would be perfect. I was told new stock springs should be about 18" from center of wheel to the bottom of flare. With the daystar I'm sitting at about 21.5" so I think I'm good on springs so far. Thanks for your input!

I used to be at 21" with my Daystar and 1/2" of clevis spacer (1" lift-do not recommend that much). Expect the springs to sag...FAST with the Daystar lift. I had it for 6-7 months and blew all my shocks within 3 months of that time period.

I've heard so many different reviews on multiple forums about the daystar. It was cheap and works for now (hopefully I'll get more than 6 months out of my suspension lol) not sure what route to take after they eventually wear out, just replace springs and shocks, upgrade them and keep the daystar or just go with a tommudd econo lift

You can read a lot of BS out there especially on some of these new Facebook forums that tell you that Daystar is the best
Ask those people how long they have been building 4 WDs and how many miles they have
Lot of us have been building them for a long time and a lot of years on the KJ/KK forum
Most everyone here will tell you straight up that it ( Daystar) will kill your suspension.
But good luck till then, just get those bumpstops in, does help some

ha, yea. they said skyjacker was the best too. haha, what a joke!

hey, its the internet, so it must be true.

my lift has under 6k miles on it and my stock springs are already shot. bigbt: just don't be surprised when it starts sagging and your shocks start to make a clunk noise. just know if you still want the lift after your springs and shocks are shot, buy a real lift. and I to have spacers and have or am going through the said issues.

as far as wheel spacers go, Gageraid has them on his rig as well as libertygirl09.

I think I'm going to forgo the wheel spacers and just the US wheel 884. If it gets me flush with the flares I will be very happy as that is the look I was after.

7 inch wide and 4 inches of backspacing is a great overall size, sits the tire/wheel out far enough to be noticeable and you can tell it has wider wheels etc. But also not enough that you have to do a lot of hacking etc plus if going off road still can stuff the tires .
Good luck, post pics soon of it done !

thank you all for the advice, I just order a set of recovery points from atthehelm, so that will be the next project. Then I need to get some funding for the almost 700$ the wheels and black lug nuts are going to run me lol. Pictures will all be posted accordingly!
