I tried looking around to see if anyone else had this issue, but didn't see anything. If this has been posted before i apologize.

My rear wiper has an interesting issue. When i turn it on, it runs like normal, the issue is when i turn it off. The wiper continues to go, it only turns off if i shut the car off. No matter how many times i turn it on and off this happens. I think it could be the switch on the steering column or the wiper motor itself. Was curious if anyone else had this issue and what was your solution to getting it fixed.

Thanks!

I doubt it is the motor because it works.(But still may be... See below Park switch)
The reason it turns off when you shut the rig down is the power to the relay is killed. So using deductive reasoning, it sounds like there is an issue with the stalk. But you can't rule out a short of some kind, or the park switch(which tells the TIPM when to shut down the power to it.).
When it turns off does it park in the correct place?

You could try a test, turn the wiper on, then off. If it is still going, open the hood and smack the top of the TIPM (computerized fuse box) with your hand a couple of times. If it stops it is likely the relay is getting stuck. If it does not, then it is likely the stalk.

With out a Diag the cheap way to attempt a fix is to replace the stalk. You won't like the other option...
The relay for the rear wiper is internal to the TIPM, it is soldered to the PCB.
If the relay is getting stuck then you have 2 options. New TIPM or a major disassemble of the TIPM and replace the relay on the circuit board.

Yea, I don't think its the motor. I'll have to check out the relay, which I hope its not, after what you just said, lol.

When i turn the power off, it returns to its normal spot. I'll see if i can do the relay check tomorrow and go from there. Stalk looks easy to replace, so i'm hoping its that.

Thanks for the help!

Your welcome. I hope it is the stalk. It is pretty easy to swap out.
Before doing any work on your ride, disconnect the Neg (-) battery cable and wait 10 minutes!
This will allow time for the airbag capacitors to discharge.
