So do I NEED the 400$ a-arms or not Ironman front struts and al's front coils ... Then a 1/2 inch Clevis lift and maybe the 1/4 inch spacers in the future |

Whats a "als front coils"? If you add the top plate, yes. If your upper ball joints are bad, Yes. General rule i go by, anything over 3" on factory arms are asking for trouble. |

Before I went with the Adjust-A-Strut front lift I did get the A-arms. On full drop the stock arm was contacting the spring (2.5" lift) and causing the upper spring/shock mounting area steel to flex even more then it does with normal travel. Over time this would have stressed the steel enough to cause it to break in that area. If I remember correctly that did happen to a member here... I decided it was better to get the A-Arms now, then to have to weld a major body part back together in the future. Which was also a deciding factor for me to move up to the Adjust-A-Strut. The nice thing about the Adjust-A-Strut is the top plate has a pivot bushing for the spring/shock, so now I don't have to worry about steel stress in the upper mount area. The pivot bushing is on the right of this Pic.

Then a 1/2 inch Clevis lift and maybe the 1/4 inch spacers in the future Ironman HD springs give 2.25 inches of lift Adding in the clevis and top plate and now you are at 3.75 inches of lift At that height without the arms it will be hard to align, you will have major UCA/ Spring contact with stock arms etc Personally anything over 3 inches you need them like Kayak suggested and Scar0 |

I assume you ordered rear shocks as well ? |

Gixxa wrote: Sorry the 4 inch rear springs and no isolators Well since you went with the 4 inch rear springs then you are going to want to go with the upper plate as well Thats the setup I had figured for the 4 inch rear springs/ Ironman front coild, .500 clevis and 1/4 top plate on the Econo lift |

I'll just order those in the future .. Any other install hiccups you think I'll run into with that much front lift |

On the rear with that much lift it is likely your drive shaft will hit your fuel tank when flexing (like Digger did even with an adjustable track bar). You may also have issues with the brake lines being to short. |

Is there a solution to that problem |

Yes adjustable track bar Plus going that high I would strongly suggest longer sway bar links as well Lots happen when going past 3 inches |

I have the track bar and bought extra sway bar links to extend ... Just didn't know how much to add |

Can the jba arms be used with a stock suspensions? Planning to do a ome lift, can they be used for both? |

Tom, I believe JBA only has stock height a-arms for KJs. KKs only have lifted arms. |

How much lift, is lifted? Ome lift is only 1.5 inches over stock. Some say they actually lift 2.5 but I suspect that is because of their stock suspension is sagging so much. Anyone have ome lift with jba arms? |

Anyone have ome lift with jba arms? No, OME is around 2.5" above factory stock, you can run that without the A arms. If you add a clevis lift and top plate it'll set you up to about 3.5". Anything above a 3" lift should have the a arms to avoid spring contact and to aid with alignment. I have OME 790's on the front because of my ARB bumper and winch. I'm 3.5" over factory height and 5.5" higher than my sagged height! |
