Sorry to keep asking similar questions, I want to get this right, 1st time.

Regarding the conduit nuts; I'm pretty sure I know where they need to be fitted, I just want to be certain...

In the photo below I've used a red & green marker. I think the conduit nut should go underneath the lower spring isolator (15) so it sits between that & the clevis (12). Basically in the place where the red line is?

Am I also correct in assuming 2" conduit nuts are used as the shock OD is approx 2" & really the conduit nut is just there to act as a spacer to ensure both shocks are at the same height. If I made my own spacer with a 2" ID & an OD the same as the outer section as the shock would that be sufficient material without causing any other problems?

Thanks as ever!

Yes red area, after you have the spring compressed all put together and ready to install then slide the conduit nuts or whatever you are using to get ( up to ) 3/8 of an inch. Next slide the clevis bracket over the bottom of the shock and install

Yes they are just so you get the same amount on both sides, they provide no structural support at all
When using conduit nuts I tape 3 together so they are stacked nice and tight and stay together

Great, thanks Tom! Makes me feel happier knowing I've got a chance of doing it right 1st time.

I've just got 1 of the guys in our shop making me 2 x 6.3mm (1/4") washers (56.5mm ID, 63mm OD). Dont want to go over 3" with the lift :-)

Job done, drives well & sits surprisingly high. I'm guessing I'll lose 1/2" when things settle.

Thanks for the advice Tom :D
