So I was back in the stealership yesterday after getting a new engine the alternator went out, when they were testing the alternator they came out and told me that I had 4 things to update in pcm, are they necessary? Abs,power,and a few other things.

Post the updates that the dealership wants to perform.

Personal opinion, update all that need to be updated. You just spent a few grand on a new engine. What's a few hundred or less for updates?
