My stock scissor jack had an unfortunate accident and needs replacing. Little darn thing isn't cheap... that i have found atleast. I have the 4x4 sport 2011... very light offroading... and mainly stock. What would you guys replace it with? And still be able to store it easily and not laying around. Thanks all |

Try your local junkyard. A quick look on http://www.car-part.com shows 2008 Liberty jack assemblies going for as little as $35. |

If I were you, I'd spend the extra money on a bottle jack and keep it in the compartment the scissor jack goes in. I am not a big fan of the scissor jack and broke mine when changing a spare a while back. Even lifted I'm looking into getting a bigger bottle jack for roadside emergencies. Something like this: http://www.autozone.com/engine-and-vehi ... 11308_0_0/ although I'd probably go with the 4 ton one. |
