Not really sure where to put this and really not overly sure how to describe it. Was running on cruise around 55 mph and came to a large downhill stretch in the road. Had the radio up rather loud and the KK seemed to be acting odd. Looked at the tach and it was just over 4000, still on cruise. At this point it seemed as though it was attempting to hold the downhill speed where the cruise was set. I know the KK has the option to use descent control in 4 low but this was at highway speeds. I got home and shut it down. Left later and returned coming down a long stretch of hill and it went as normal without using the cruise.

Am I to assume that when in cruise it will attempt to control the downhill speed the same as it does when maintaining speed under other conditions? This is the first time I noticed it and it is quite possibly normal but I wondered if others have experienced this or if there might be an issue.

Yup, the KK will attempt to engine brake (downshift and use cylinder compression) to keep the speed you set the cruise to, when going down a steep hill. When not on cruise, it doesn't do it.
