I had to swap out some ball joints on my JBA control arms because the boots got torn. I was tightening them with a clicker wrench from harbor freight that apparently was broken and didn't click at 30ftlbs. Now the cotter pin hole is way below the slots in the castle nut. Did I screw up and ruin the taper in the knuckle? Everything seems tight and it drove fine. Since it's a taper, I don't think it would be possible to overtorque it but who knows. |
