So before I get going on this more fun I am having.. (new engine, and other things in the past 2 months) I have been getting a clunking/knocking noise when I first start moving from the driver wheel area last until about 10-15 mph and is not consistent. With this being said I'm thinking its the driver cv shaft but want to get an opinion.

OPTION 1
Replace with new Cardone cv half shaft assym, replace wheel hub as well

Option 2
Replace with new Mopar and wheel hub

Option 3
wait and order ome lift, new cardone half shaft

I am pulling the assumed bad shaft tomorrow Sat to test and see if it clears the issue
Currently running with Crapstar and its getting worse and worse

STAY FAR AWAY FROM AFTERMARKET HUBS!!

They don't last. I got one from Advanced and it only lasted about 20,000 miles. The MOPAR ones will last much longer, same with the axles, if you can even find an aftermarket one I'd stay away from that as well. Unless it's a RCV unit then... :pepper:

Are you sure that clunk noise isn't the one that all KKs have? It's the ABS system calibrating or something like that.
A few months ago or so we had a discussion that most of us acknowledged this as normal and were able to confirm what it was.

This. If the noise only happens once, when you hit 15mph for the first time, its most likely the ABS. If is starts when you start moving, then it is probably something else.

Sounds like a front CV to me, had the same symptoms. Already had new UCAs so I replaced the lower ball joints and issue was still there, ended up replacing both CVs with aftermarket units then problem was solved. The right side was the culprit.
