Need help or advice. Have a new CB, mounted it. Ran new cable and the issue i have is testing and tuning i keep getting a "fail" on the antenna. Here is what i get testing on output ![]() Then test the antenna ![]() I have checked and double checked the cable. No pinch or cuts. I had the antenna mounted off the tail light but didn't like the spot and moved it to a flush mount off the roof. What can i do to get it working or what am i doing wrong? Whats your SWR off a external meter? Dont relie on the built in meter. What coax and antenna do you have? Whats the mount on the roof? Hows the ground plane? Is it grounded? Your antenna might be bad or high ohms in your antenna system. How you stuck the system on an antenna analyzer? That will tell you whats wrong more or less. Also have you done any mods to the bearcat? Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk |

I do have a SWR meter and when i set it and flip the switch it maxes out. I have a tuneable double ring antenna i can find out manufacture name if need. The cables the same company. The roof mount is wilson. As far as grounding the mount i figured mounted through the roof its grounded, "body ground" there wasnt a place on the mount for a ground point. I dont have a antenna analyzer tho id get one as its cheaper then the local cb shops fees. Also no mods to the bearcat, box to truck thats all. Sent from my moderately smart iPhone using Tapatalk |

But honestly, sounds like a bad antenna Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk |
