Hello, everyone. I just recently bought a 2009 Jeep Liberty. I am newbie to the Jeep family and am reading this forum like a Bible!  My question: When I step on the gas, it is extremely stiff. Any suggestions? ***************************** 2009 Jeep Liberty 4x4 Sport We shall name her Raven. |

Check to make sure there is nothing under it like a floor mat that is getting in the way. |

There are fixes out there, such as the 4.7L throttle body mod, among others. The poor throttle response is likely what you're experiencing and it's tricking you into thinking it's a stiff pedal. I pretty much have to stand on mine to get my Jeep moving. Makes for an interesting experience when I drive anything else. On the bright side, the wife hates driving my Jeep so it's all mine when my lift goes in soon. |
