I did this mod on my 05'. Is there a way to turn the ac off when I have the heater on defrost? I know the purpose of this but I drive around with my heat set on defrost and I dont want the ac running all winter long. Figured this would be a good project while the weather is nice. Thanks .The KK is a 2011

2 wires that lead into the compressor via a connector, disconnect the connector.

I'd l;eave it work the way it is suppose to, there is a very good reason for it cycling on and off every now and again. It does last longer ( AC unit)

I guess you could cut one of the 2 wires on the connector on the a/c compressor and run it back into the cab through a switch & back out to the other cut end of the wire you just cut on the connector. You'd be able to cut off the compressor from a flick of the switch. The question I have is why? Why not just crack the window to prevent fogging & just not use the defroster? I did disconnect the connector on a buddy's Nitro compressor when we changed out his condenser so he could still drive it using defrost w/o risking damage to his compressor until it got a shop to charge his system. Worked fine & no check engine. It's your jeep but I don't understand the need for it.
