Post subject:  dash lights and no code.?!

So im driving down the highway like any normal day when I look at my dash. All of a sudden my esp light comes on and along with that my esp/bas light as well. not to mention my speedometer guage needle flipping from my current speed to zero and back about 4 or 5 times before settling back on my speed. Nothing shifts or pops or makes any noise. Any idea what is the cause of this or how to fix it? Been happening randomly for the last two months with no issue, but would like to know why its happening...? Thanks.

Have you been able to notice any pattern of when it happens? – Kevin T, Social Connect Team

Honestly its been random. Two oil changes ago is the first time it happened. It happens anytime from sitting at a redlight to cruising down the highway. In town I just put it in park and turn the jeep off then start it up again and it usually disappears till it pops up again.

Check the Pos (+) and Neg (-) battery cables are tight and clean.
Also check the Pos (+) wire connection to the TIPM (computerized fuse box) is tight.

Thanks for the follow-up. It sounds as if this will be difficult to duplicate but if you’re open to visiting a dealer for diagnosis, let me know. – Kevin T, Social Connect Team

I had a problem that was similar. It also happened while I was at the dealer and they replaced a module under warranty.

Care to share what module was replaced?

It was in warranty and I failed to ask.

Bummer... Is it on the paperwork somewhere?

It was more than 2 years ago. The problem has not recurred since the fix.
