Post subject:  final opinion double checking tires

so, after much deliberation... I have decided to get 16x7 black rock 952 rims (yes, everyone and their third cousin has these but I like them) with 245/70/16 rims as an upgrade over my 225/75/16 stock.

the 16x7s i want have a backspacing of 4 inches.

I did some research on various wheel comparison websites and it seems as though I'll be losing a little bit of height but gaining width, which is what I want... I've seen a user by the name of Rytra on jeepforums.com use the same rims but his were on 235/70/16...

I'm almost positive it will fit, if anything I'll have a slight bit of rub I imagine, possibly none (hopefully).

What do you guys think?
(I promise this is the last post like this lol)

Thanks,
DJ

Have you lifted yet?
If not yes they will rub
245-70-16s rub with stock wheels at times , with 4 inches of backspacing ( sitting the tire/ wheel out an inch more and increasing the arc it moves when turning get ready to do the pinch welds and massaging some other areas more than likley

No, have not lifted yet. Right now I want to sit stock with some bigger tires and nicer wheels for a while and see how I like it.

In terms of the rub, will it be okay enough for me to get home and do all that stuff? I mean my mechanic can mount the new tires and wheels, I'm sure I can tackle the pinch weld my self.
