So was on the way with the family for a trip away for new year, when....... the engine management light came on, fortunately we were only 20 miles from home. Just taken it to the local garage to see what codes come up on the system and it showed, undercharged/performing turbo and MAF sensor.. does anyone know how these two work together. The garage think it could possibly be a split in a hose, which is what I'm hoping for as don't want to be spending out loads just after Christmas and in the process of buying a house.. anyone had the same issue?

Did you notice a loss of power? When I had a hose go bad the CEL came on and I had a significant power loss and blowing black smoke.

At first I had a loss of power, but when I stopped and turned it on by the time I started her up again to go to the garage she was ok. It still felt a bit sluggish but seemed/felt normal, but I didn't drive her to my normal driving style as was being very cautious. I did notice that before we left a lot of white smoke coming out of the exhaust which stopped once the car was at full temperature

I'm no expert but I would check the hoses. Many people would suggest the upgraded ones from ID Parts http://www.idparts.com/liberty-crd-sili ... -4804.html
