Post subject:  Black Jeeps Only... Except Digger! :-P
Well with my engine bay looking like it was brand new...

Time for the outside....
I am finding a difficult time finding a wax that is worth a darn..
I've Used Meguires 2.0... Regular Meguires.... Mothers... Turtle Wax Ice... and regular Turtle Wax.... So far the best is Meguires 2.0...
But I'm open to change... So I found this Box and am trying it out...

I Clay Barred the entire KJ today and did one coat of cleaner/wax...
I guess they say ONLY FOR BLACK cars/trucks.. because all of the wax etc is BLACK! :? Makes since to me... :D It's all ready gotten a lot of the little scratches out of the paint... Can't wait to see what it looks like tomorrow... 8)

The only downside that I have found so far is it turns all of your microfiber towels BLACK... :roll:

Yeah but Now I'm having 2nd thoughts... I talked to a guy today who painted my Uncles 67 LeMans.... :shock: Working with some figures and what not... :twisted: :shock:

the best wax i've found (black or not black.. i have a LOT of experience with black cars/trucks).. is...

for a fast job.. is meguiars tech wax. does not last long but looks great when you apply it.


for a job that will hurt your arms and you'll be sore for a week but not have to wax for a long time.. and look AMAZING is the NUfinish polish.. in the orange bottle. i know it's a polish and not a wax... but if it last longer and looks better then a wax i'm not going to shy away from it :).. been waiting for a good day to do my jeep with it

especially if you figure in your time.. and money you could've made in relation to the time it takes to keep your black looking nice!

















i still prefer black :) however i have a project going on right now that will end up with something being flat black (instead of shiny) and red :) it's not the KJ :twisted:

I love this stuff...true about the towels turning black but they wash off good.

I don't recommend using this kit when it reaches 92 degrees out.... :shock:
It was sooooo feaking hot in my garage... :roll:

But the results are AWESOME! 8)

Best wax I ever used is Xymol. Stuff's expensive though. Totally natural-- take a whiff, smells good enough to eat. Smell's like coconuts.
