Once it's finalised on the design (design's) do we ask Pixeldzn to redo it with the LOST KJ fonts. If so is it easier to have him run them out & order from him? I'm suggesting this as he does so many other logo's & has all the stocks etc.. Posting to OZ wouldn't be that much for this sort of thing & it keep's it tidy when ordering + you can order other LOST stuff atm if you want.

Any ideas,

Well, I hate to admit it, but.... I am a printer, and I can knock these things off pretty easily, I can do some mock ups on white poly and diecut them to see how they look.

I can personalise them as well???? maybe everyone has their own LOST Downunder Membership number???? whats peoples thoughts???

if you wanted to do that our user names could be used eg. sini, cmohr, fouros, CDKJ, ed. etc...

maybe put the user names in the border on the right hand side the same way as downunder or australia...

Thanks for all the positive responses folks! I'm by no means a great graphic artist but I can do OK if I take my time, and having photoshop CS2 helps

With Ed's eps file I was able to refine the Southern Cross in the design. Here are the revisions, hopefully not much left to do if this is the way you guys want to go:

With the revised star layout both of the upper stars are now on the outer portion of the border but I didn't figure anyone would have a problem with that.

Ah ha, a printer then. Yes were an unfortunate bunch :lol:

, I did my trade as a web printer (contunious stationery / business forms). I then got into production in a sheet fed company (6.5yrs) ended up as assistant production manager & meeded a change. I then went to SOS (3 months, too many staff, too big). I'm now an estimator/production planner/ what ever else they like me to do, I don't mind as it's a very easy job. So good stuff Cmohr, I'd have offered to do it but we dont do this sort of thing.

Yeah, I was Production Manager , for the place I'm working for now for about 9 years, Just got sick of managing people :evil:

I hate people....

Took 6 moths off a couple of years ago, then they conviced me to go back to work, now I'm just a printer (also look after digital production, quality control, machine maintainence, estimating and backcosting, but, I don't like to talk about that either, gives me a hell of a headache :lol:

), a Digital Printer that is, work on Indigos, they are very cool, and strangely, I now get paid more now and work half as much as I did in production.

I can print some on a self adhesive poly, and even pop a gloss cello on to keep em looking good, do we want em square or ceate a keyline to follow around the general shape??? Also, one other thing I thought of, should we have the L.O.S.T.KJS. web address on the decal, so if someone sees our kj's in a carpark they can find us on the internet???

yes some do have this problem. "not I" I say as I've posted threads just to talk about beer, but you must believe me I've not had a drop since my last one.

I think that's a great idea, you could put the web address in the boarder as a thought (other side from Aust or Down). Cello's good & so is a keyline. Will you d-cut them at work? If it's black on white stock I think the knife is the way to go for sure, I don't want to have a big white square on my window (I could cut it out if need be).

Let's talk size while were getting sooooooooo close to getting this on. I like 150 x 150mm as a starting point, any takers

If your sending the Indesign file , obviously include all images and fonts, Or flatten all the fonts, convert them to outlines, and send a hi-res pdf.. as well, just in case of a non-embedded font issue. or only a screen font and not the printer font kinda thing. otherwise include the font with the file, ( true type fonts are best for me) but if you only have a mac font I can convert it to PC.
