Thanks Fros, I like how they have grease nipples too.

Think I'll try the local guy cmohr mentioned first, see what his are like and then decide which way to go.

Got the rego done this morning, downloaded the forms the other week, measured up, and handed over my dough, easy peasy :lol:

Just stumbled on a genuine Treg hitch on ebay, brand new, for $200, so I bought it :roll:

That's about $150 cheaper that I've been able to find.
So now the big question....

Who Knows How To WELD?????

There's a carton in it :wink:

The actual hitch thats coming.

Drill it and bolt it on, that way you can remove it later if required. Mine is bloted to the camper with four 1/2" or 9/16" bolts withe spring washers and nylock nuts.

Found some cheap but solid mudflaps, so on they went, still has space for a LOST sticker on each one

Had the Treg turn up at lunch, it sure is a very strong and functional unit, getting it welded up onto the drawbar on Saturday morning.

Also picked up the rubber box liner, very impressive stuff, it has to sit & cure for 5 days, but once cured, it is very strong and tough, and fits perfectly.

Dropped the trailer at the shop to get the Treg welded on, so tomorrow it'll be ready to go.
I'll be sure to get some trailer flex pics on Sunday.

The Treg got welded on today, and she's a corker

Funny how when you change one thing, it has a domino effect down the line.

Because the Treg is 3 or 4 inches longer than the old hitch, it meant that my chains were too short, which was sorted by the boilermaker by adding an extra few links.

The other little thing mainfested itself when doing some funny angles, again, because of the length of the Treg, the wiring loom is just that bit too short, and popped out of the plug. Easy fix for an auto electrician.

Other than that, it's just LURVELY :lol:

I know, I know, the chains should be crossed, but it was only a couple of hundred meters away, and there's no way that hitch is coming off anyway :roll:

Nothing too extreme, but it's the best I could find nearby, now don't try this at home with your ball hitch :shock:

Same one, but with the heep this time.

Now, ain't that a purdy behind??? Bloody good ground clearance eh :wink:

Oh, and now the tailgate opens no problemo!!! SCHWEET

looks the goods Mikey, you should look around the auto store's and see if anyone make's a wiring extension kind
of like the adaptor's for trailer plug's to get the extra length. Did the Police car in the background give funny look's
when they drove by?

Actually, I did notice once they passed me by, must have looked a bit funny, but they just kept going.
Must have just thought I was terrible at reversing :shock:

G'day Lads,
Just a little update on the trailer. Took it out to Teewah last weekend, and it ran great, didn't even know it was behind me.
Below is a pic of it, sorry no action, as the weather was a bit ordinary.
My mate also has a kj, so it was a good little convoy...lucky bugger, his number plate is XXX-KJR....he did well to get that, a free personalised plate!!!
