Snorkel???

On your Snorkel did you have to cut out the hood to fit it in?

no you cut a 3" hole in your fender , iner fender and engine bay :twisted:

Thank you, thats not to bad. Wonder how a snorkel would be in the winter when it snows and gets cold.

We do have snow and below zero (say -10 to -15 centigrade) cold in Australia (do a search on the Snowy Mountains), and there are vehicles with snorkels running around in that sort of weather. Snow and cold should not be a factor in deciding if you need to have a snorkel. What should be a factor is: dust and water crossings. The only benefit of a snorkel is raising your engine air intake to the roof line, where it maybe above dust hanging in the air thrown up by other vehicles or road trains, or where crossing streams, creeks, etc where the water level may be at or above your stock intake levels.

The other advantage of a snorkel is that you are pulling in cold air, rather than the hot air from inside the engine bay.

I just wish they weren't so much money. Plus I guess I'd have to remove and reinstall my new CB setup. I bet they are handy though.
