Custom KJ's wanted for Australian 4WD Action

G'day fellas,

I put up a similiar post looking for JK's, but we're also on the hunt for KJ's.

This is Tyce Clee from Australian 4WD Action and 4WD Custom Action magazines.

I'm the Custom 4WD Co-ordinator for both of the mags, and I'm keen as mustard to get some more KJ's and Jeeps through the pages.

Are you guys aware of any customized KJ's in Oz that we haven't featured that might be suitable for our audience?

There are a bunch of us here in Queensland that have modified KJ's to some extent - you can find us all either here or on the L.O.S.T. website.

CRDSTU (aka OzLtd). Heavily modified 2.8 CRD. Designed the coil spring suspension lift that a lot of us use.

Cmohr. 3.7 with lift, 2 sets of wheels/tyres. Likes the rock-climbing side of things.

Fouros. Modded 3.7. Got the early prototype snorkel from Gibson.

Could you round up a few photos and contact details for these guys? I've registered on the L.O.S.T. forum but I still have to wait to be activated. I'd like to see if some of these would be suitable for a shoot.

Is L.O.S.T. a club as such or a bunch of you guys with KJ's? Either way I'm sure if you were heading out for a weekend trip we could tag along and take some photos for the mag, or if there's one of you guys with a decent camera and a good eye we might be able to work something out there as well.

L.O.S.T is a bunch of guys with KJ's who organise meetings and outings via the Internet. Cmohr and I live near each other in the northern Brisbane suburbs, Fouros and Team J.a.G are on the Gold Coast, G'me Mud lives around Rockhampton, Mikey and others also in Brisbane. CRDSTU doesn't come out much these days as he is a new father.

Last outing was at the end of August when five of us went to Fraser Island - Fouros is currently writing that one up for JAA so copyright might be a problem there!

But we'll certainly let you know next time we organise a decent outing.

Is this of interest to anyone, or should we keep out of it?

I dont have a problem with this, I was thinking of changing the trip to Levuka at the end of the month to an Overnighter at The Springs Before it Gets too Hot , see if it works with his time frame,

do you have any contact Detail for him like a Ph number you can PM me?
