I have launched a thread over at Ausjeep to try to locate the KJ CRD that has the highest kilometres. We hear so much bad news about engines that go boom, crappy service, warranty refusals, etc I thought it would be good to try and track down something that was going right. I would be particularly interested in anything special that you have done to get it so far. So if you have a VM diesel in your KJ and think it might be a competitor for the high kilometre award just follow this link and let me know your Ks, KJ year and CRD engine size.

Thanks for the suggestion Chris but I'd like to keep it in Australia for now, just easier to manage and we all have the same issues to deal with in terms of our environment, fuel, etc. I could see the US guys getting all over it and then start arguing about the merits of vegetable oil etc. Maybe after we sort out the Australian kilometre record it can go to them.

Gerard would seem to have a fairly massive bar to hurdle what with having 224,000+ Ks on his V6. So let's track two numbers: V6 and CRD. I'll plug them in a spread sheet as they come in.

Gerard any major problems or issues with that engine in all those Ks?
