Not to say that everyone in those two states is a pot-head, but I'd think you'd be more desensitised to it.

I agree.

It's not that I'm "not happy" with the picture. I am fine with anything, really. Nothing bothers me, picture-wise. But, think about where the board is going with that path. Is that really where we want to go?

I don't really care about the pot ... you can do what you want in your personal space. But when it comes to public space, a little restraint is called for, IMHO.

Let go back to the original programing

Not sure about Libby, but my rule of thumb is at the bottom the head lights for my TJ when crossing water. As long as you prep your electrical contacts, keep the air intake and alternator above the water, you should be OK. Constant slow spped is the key. Of course, driver skills is also important,

Am I high enough for you

Where was it going to a level of humor one or two ppl didn't enjoy. I'm sorry but if it was that wrong and tasteful in the first place don't you think that one of the admins would have stepped in and said don't post that here or something to that effect. If a random person comes in and makes a judgement of a group or site based on one non PC picture, then you know what I personally don't want that person in my group. And really it's not about caring about the legalitys of pot in the first place because how do you know that is what was in there. That picture could have been staged just to be humorous. People always assume that something is the worst. In my very humble and meaningless opinion, the PC craze has gone too far and this is an example of when being PC has gone too far. BTW I sincerly respect your opinion whichever way that falls, and with that in mind this is my opinion. No I don't want this to be a smut filled adult wonderland of porn pot and KJ's but we are all mature enough to realize that, like stated before, it's everybodys differences that make this board better than most out there. We as a Jeep community are a little off-color and after working at a Jeep dealership and seeing the ppl that buy Jeeps most of the ARE as off-color.

:D This thread just keeps me laughing.

I'm cool with everyone's opinion, and the last thing I would want to see is this board degenerate to the level of many of the Japanese vehicle/tuner boards, but I (IMHO) don't feel we were even near that line on this one.

I think the important thing here, is that due to some great detective work, Spike actually found the driver of that Liberty! Good work!

I didn’t say I didn’t enjoy it, or see the humor in it – I laughed too!
I simply said “…this is not the place for that”

Maybe it was the bong in his right hand that made me assume it was bud – but I stand corrected – it could be anything

Getting back on topic. It has always been my belief that unless you can walk across the water and the water level is below your headlights don’t ttry to drive through the water. I drove my old XJj in water up to the middle of the headlights after a hurricane in non-moving flood waters and had no problems. I just kept a good headway and followed the centerline of the road I was on so I stayed out of the ditch and was fine. I think the key points are to keep water out of the air intake, try to keep the electrical system dry, and hopefully out of the cab, and you should be alright. Just do a very thorough fresh water rinse of the undercarriage and the engine compartment and you should be ok. The Air intake in the KJ is high in the engine compartment and it prevents water from being scooped into the intake. And hydro locking the engine, I knew a guy with a ranger that went into water that was too deep and after we pulled his truck out with a 6x we got from the Local national guard (I was in the Coast Guard at the time) we pulled his spark plugs and water came out. Wasn’t pretty and the insurance co totaled the truck.
