I wanted to look at trying AMS oil an went to their web page. I did a search on where I could buy some near my house. I was surpised when what appeared looks to be a resedential house 0.7 miles from my house. Is this common for AMS oil to be sold out of a house instead of a store? My wife goes to Pampered Chief parties to buy stuff for the kitchen... Does this mean I get to have Pampered KJ parties to buy stuff for my kj?

You can order it through the internet and have it delivered to your door w/in a few business days. Amsoil has dealers all over the country. You can deal with someone local to you or with someone like myself who sells over the internet and locally here in California. Either way, Amsoil has some of the best products on the market. Let me know if you need any more info or have any more questions.
Thanks, John

Hey Science_Guy, I live up in Anderson, IN. I'm Joined their Perfured Customer program and get it at a discount from Amsoil. If you order it from their website. It comes from the warehouse in Colombus, OH. and will be at your house in 2 days. I have used the stuff for years and only say that it the best u can get.
Before i bought my Liberty i had a F-350 7.3 turbo diesel. I used Amsoil products every place i could. after i had racked up over 250,000 miles on the truck and had to replace a head gasket.( runing 35lbs boost will do that  ) dureing teardown the mech that was doing the work couldnt believe how clean and low wear the engine was. The Honeing markes in the Cyl was like new after over 250,000 miles. and that wasn't easy miles ether. mostly pulling a 14,000Lbs 5thwheel up and down the mountains out west and in the cold up north.
I was useing the the bypassfilter sys and did oil samples every 6500 miles. I did over 80,000miles before i had to do a full oil change. Up till then it was just the Full flow filter every 6500 and both full and bypass engine oil filters every year.
If i had used Roltella-T i would be changeing it every 3,000 miles and it 14Qts a oil change, that adds up too big bucks fast.

Also the Ford E4OD trans was a POS to put it lightly. I used their Uni Trans oil w/a larger cooler. My temps NEVER whent over 250 and that was Pulling in the summer. I also used it in the rear end as well. Great stuff!!!

BTW. the engine had a Banks Power Pack system, SwampDonkey INJ upgrade , AFe airfilter system, NOS and Propane mod and a 5" catless and mufflerless exhaust. So u could say it was built to pull...HARD!!!
Randy

TYVM!!! :D :D

Anyone can join up as a Preferred Customer and get dealer pricing and your orders will ship from the warehouse closest to you. You can go through the link in my signature to buy through my dealer account. I offer my phone number to my customers and they can contact me for information and quotes whenever they need to. I make very little and I am always trying to help people out with the best deals they can get. I sponsor lost events with raffle prizes and donate money to the forum via my banner ad. I am a fellow KJ owner, (X2) and I have been a lost member since the beginning.
Please feel free to PM me for info or a quote. Look into the vendor section for deals and info.
Thanks! John :D

So if you use an AMSOIL oil filter as well do you still need to change the filter every 3,000?? Was kinda confused I was reading up on hotrodoil.com

No, the Amsoil Ea series filter is good for up to 25,000 miles or one year.
You should still change the filter w/ the oil if you run a shorter change interval.

Yes, HotRodOil.com is mine and I do benefit a little. I am starting out pretty slow and I have donated all of my profits back through the banner, and donations to various club functions. (I am also sponsoring XJ events)
My real hope is to slowly build a customer base that will continue to do business with me. I appreciate all my customers and look forward to doing Any business with them in the future. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about Amsoil products.

Thanks! John

My father in law rebuild his 94 6.5 diesel in his suburban this summer due to a bad head gasket. He bought it used maybe a year ago and it had only had amsoil run in it. It had close to 250K on it and like you said the hone marks in the cylinder look almost new, he had never seen anything look so clean after that many miles.

I'm currently running it in my 04 KJ, did my second oil change with the stuff today (bought it used last spring)
