So I picked up the Surco rack the other day from uvalax and threw that on on the spot and then I just got done adding a set of Hella FF50 driving lights which I also bought from another L.O.S.T. member, Cacher I believe. I mounted them to the bottom of the rack, since i barely clear getting into my garage now, only bout 3 inches of clearance. I ran the wire from the lights through some black conduit to keep it some what hidden, worked pretty well. I ran the wires beneath the rails to the rear and trhough the back window up underneath the rear trim. I grounded the lights to the rear floor of the rig, the power I ran up underneath the trim up into the engine bay. As for the switch, I mounted it in the standard spot to the left of the wheel. Let me know what you guys think.

Also what lights should I throw on the front of the rack???

More than likely that will be exactly what I will do but just wanted to see if anyone else had some different suggestions. But there will definitley be a drop bracket made so I can still fit in my garage, I only clear the door by inches but once i am inside I got a solid foot or so before I will hit, so I can still jack er up and all.

WOW, I want a rack too. Now I am thinking of getting it custom fit so it sits below my roof rails and then it will fit in my garage because I have to back up lights now!!

It's hard keeping up with you guys!

why not put some FF50s up front too, mounted underneath, then you woul not have to worry about the clearence in front either. If I hadn't already gotten the 500s, I would get some 50s. way cooler low profile look. later,
mike

Hi Kelesy,

How did you mount that Surco rack up there? I recently put one on also and just used u-bolts from the hardware store.

Thanks,

I used the Surco mounts. I got One Hell of a deal on it all (Thanks Richard) otherwise I would have used the U-bolt technique.
