it will depend on the tire MFG and type
it should fit the rim but it may also rub realy bad

I want either All Terrains or Mud Terrains, I not sure which yet.

I was thinking either 245/75/16 or 31*10.5's.....any opinions?

Is there a 16" - 31"-10.5" avaiable? All I've seen listed are 15".
Regardless, the 245/75/16 should be about the same height, but wider. Personally I like a taller/narrower tire, especially on the KJ, from an appearance point of view.
But everyone has their own opinions...

Actually the 245/75/16s are narrower.

I've also never seen a 31x10.5 in a 16 inch rim. However, they do make a 265/70R16 which is essentially the same size.
