Thule just aquired this racks and you can't buy it on the web just yet. You will have to contact them direct to place the order. Their number is 1-800-238-2388 Part# A-21021 You will get it within 3-4 days after you place your order. GOod luck

[quote="meh_kick"]What panel? The sunroof doesn’t slide overtop the roof does it. Just that little wind flap flips up.

And because of the curve of the roof, I would assume the basket would clear easily.[/quote

meh_kick, forgive my ignorance. You’re right, the glass panel from the sunroof when opened is not exposed. For some reason I was thinking the sunroof opened higher, but it doesn’t.

yea i've been in contact with a thule rep via email a few times today, she hasn't been very helpful in pointing me to the right way of going about getting the extension. I even linked her too the sportrack site to see if she could find me the new Thule counterpart # or purchasing order, no such luck. I guess i'll just have to talk to a real person at some point...thanks for the help...

Ha Ha, You had me go outside and look to be sure.

Because the track is internal, I'm really thinking of making a removable rack that covers the entire roof (like Gris' and others). That would be killer.

Is there a rack out there that fits down between the rails? I don't want to mount a 3" or 4" tall rack on top of my crossbars, that seems excessively tall to me. Will I have to fab something up myself if this is the route I want to go?

Yakima makes a lighter duty rack that seems pretty nice. It's called the Basketcase and it fits flush with the bars. Someone recently posted a picture of their liberty with one on this site, but I can't find the image. I think it looked great. If you want to carry a tire on your roof, this probably wouldn't be a good idea. It would probably handle a jack and some tools and camping gear.

Thanks for the lead; camping gear will be my biggest priority this summer since the back is now the dog's domain. The Basketcase is affordable too at ~$100. The rack here belongs to phxtoad: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=181316#181316. He later identifies it as a Basketcase.
