I have read alot of the threads about lift kits. I wanted to know if anyone has done a carrier drop like chevys or anything. I saw one that dropped his 3/4" just for angle correction. There should be a kit for kj's like that on the market. I think it would be sweet kit other than the fact that you still have no articulation. Would anyone consider a lift like that or would everyone just say "if your gonna drop the carrier why not make it SFA"? PLease let me know if there is one on the market or if anyone has made one, Thanks Ert

You own one of these rigs? No articulation? Disconnect the swaybars than repost after your next offroad run. There's a lot more there than we had in the old Jeeps I started with.

Doesnt the UCA connect to the carrier on a chevy? That would make things a whole lot easier if that were the case on liberties.....

I was thinking about a carrier drop the other day, but alot of Front Suspension Parts are attached to the body, not the carrier.

I have no articulation in the front the back moves so much that I have coil bind. I dont want to disconnect the sway bar in the front I think it will move too much and I will have ball joint contact. the lift I have on it right now is not the best but it gets the job done. Now that I think about it the chevys do have a complete basket in front that everything mounts to. hey I was just trying to throw out some ideas and see what you guys thought. Thanks for the input, Ert

No worries. I think everyone alive wishes the KJ had a better front end setup, but hey, not everything is born equal.

*salivates at thought of high lift*

Removing the front swaybar when off road will probably help lesson your coil bind in the rear. It let's the front move around more thus leaving the back level till it get's to the section of the trail. Like Spoonplugger1 said you should try it, makes a whole lot of difference.
