Why no replies on this thread??

Never seen a chrome soft 8 on a KJ, or any vehicle for that matter. I think it looks good. It matches your bull bar quite nicely. Don't get chrome side steps that would just kill the looks. Anymore chrome would just look bad.

Love the KJ and love the tires CD. Did you have to do alot of trimming for the 265/70's? I'm wanting to get me a set on Cragar Soft 8's in black, but want to know what kind of troubles to look forward to. Also not sure if I want to go 4" or 5" BS.

4" back space is way too much on a 16x8 with 265/70/16, it will push the rim and rubber too far out and you will get major rubbing. 4" is probably OK on a 16x7 but don't quote me on that.
I've done a lot of trimming to fit them, in the front and rear wheel arch. I had to do the pinch weld & bend the front half of the pinch weld in the rear wheel arch. I still get a bit of rubbing in reverse up front and it will contact the body when at full stuff if I turn the wheel (up front). The rear no longer has any contact due to the trimming and home made bump stops (38mm). OEM bump stop up front is OK for now. If you want I can take some shots of the inner wheel arch (front & back).

I should think that I trimmed all I would need to in order to fit a 265/75/16, I should think a little more lift would be in order along with some 4.10's.

Thanks CD, I did mine backwards and bought tires and then 4 months later the lift. Luckily the wife needs new tires for her Escape so I'm looking for bigger tires for mine and then will put the 235's on hers.

Pic's would be cool, that way I can see if I want to do that much trimming to mine or down to the 255/70/16's.

No worries 501, I'm going off road on Sunday so I will take some then.
