So this is my ride. There is a before and an after picture so you can see the lift. I used the BDS lift.

Looks sweet! If your Jeep is your DD I would recommend the BF Goodrich ATA KO's. That's what I am running right now and they do really well on the road and I drove home from Utah in a blizzard last winter without any issues at all. JMHO.

While the BFG A/T's are a good tire there is something better in the snow and at a better price point...the General Grabber AT2. I used them last winter and they did a great job in the snow. I ran them at Livingston and they worked well offroad as well. People here that have used or are using them have nothing but good things to say about them. Just my .02...since I did not steer you wrong recommending the BDS lift ... and the KJ looks great with the lift!

The two tires that were mentioned were the two I was looking at. I go to big bear a lot to shred so its not like they get snow constantly but I want to make sure I do have some decent tires so when I run into it there wont be any problems. Hopefully I can get buy 4 get one free for the spare when I go to get them

Really not sure. I did not measure it before, and it still needs to settle. This first day it looked like i gained about 3.5-4 inches but now it has gone down some.

I live in Reno and work alot in Portola CA I love my General Grabber AT2s. I have no lift yet and I run 245/70R16 no rubbing at all. they work great in the snow.

General Grabber AT2s 245/70/16

The grabber is almost identical to the BFG but has a slightly less aggressive shoulder or edge to the tire. Otherwise they are very very close. Both good tires. My dad swears by the BFGs and he tows a heavy trailer fully loaded thousands and thousands of miles every winter in heavy snow up in Tahoe. Either way you would be good to go I would think.

The General Grabbers are special order here in Vegas. That is the only downside. I talked to several shops and most do not want to even order them, for whatever reason. I got my BFG AT KO for $150/pc for 4 then 100 for the spare. All were made this year and boy do they look and ride good. I think I need to get mine balance again though. There is some shaking at around 60mph.

The 255 equates to a 30.1x10x16 and the 245 equates to a 30.5x9.6x16 so not much difference. One is higher and one wider.

So one is slightly taller and one slightly wider. If you on with you numbers its something they eye wont even really notice.

Thanks! I was looking at the picture and if you look at the tree in the back ground the pre lift was bare the post lift it is full. That first one was taken early april the second one just Las sunday

You should steer him in the right-er direction by selling him your wheels and tires so I can buy his Rennie 5 spokes

i LOVE my BFG AT KO's.. . i actually couldnt be more happy with them. great in any condition and i've tested them on everything. plus i live where we get a lot of lake effect snow from lake erie.. so they've been through 17 inches of snow and not had a problem at all (in the winter i drop them to around 20lbs... 35 for good road conditions). i strongly suggest them. plus i travel 3 hours each way to school and back.. and it's my DD so the outstanding on road manners and low noise work out really well for me.

Well I got a price here in town for the Grabber AT2. For 5 tires mounted balanced on the car out the door he is giving me a price of 699. Sound like a good deal? On tire rack is the cheapest I found them and they want 680 shipped to me then i would still have to pay to get them installed. So it would basically be more that way. Let me know what your opinions on on that price.
