So I was airing back up after a run yesterday and I was looking at the PSI on the side wall. It says cold 80 psi. But no where on there does it say for warm temp. Anyone haev experience with these tires and what should I run them at to get the best mpg

The pressure listed on the sidewall is the maximum pressure. You don't want anywhere near that much air in them. I just had MT/Rs put on myself and the shop had them at 40 psi. That seems to work well for me on the highway. I've only had them for a week, but 40 psi gives me a nice even footprint, not too much noise and decent mileage. Generally, the higher the pressure, the better the mpg. But you have to watch out for uneven tire wear if you crank it way up.

38 to 40 lbs works for me.

DOH! I totally didn't think about that one when Kirk talked about airing down. I am half tempted to get a system like Mike's. How did you like that run? We hit it again after you left. We nearly had a tip over but it made it...barely.

34 rear/38 front is what I normally run on the street. on the trail, down between 20 and 25

The proper PSI will depend on the weight of the rig and the type of tire
our KJ is all stock out side of a lift and a "J-Thompson Tranny skid" which is about 30#
That being said we run 32 psi in all 4 ,245/75 16 MTR's
now we air now much lower than most 14-16 psi and have never lost a bead

Just to show a difference in tire types for you
I run 31 X 11.5 LTB's on my TJ ,it weighs with in 200# of the KJ ,lots of tools and armor
on the street I run 26psi and on the trail 12-14 and never lost a bead
good wear on both Jeeps
The LTB's are rated to carry less weight at a lower psi than the MTR's but the LTB's are bias ply ,no steel
which sucks bad if you dont DD it and let it sit for weeks like I do
The ires get flat spots and it rides like poo for a few miles in the summer and 3 times as bad and for 4 times as far in the winter
all 5 days of winter we get
