Alright, alright, alright. Ever since I started talking on this forum, I was annoying everyone with my lift questions. I wanted cheap, and big  . Eventually, I started seeing the light. Finally, I came to the realization, I cant get it cheap and good, so I will wait, keep asking annoying questions  I decided a few months back, I'm going to get the base model franky. I've been trying to plan out if I can even get this in time for the season, and its looking good. I just got off the phone with my local garage, and they are going to get me a quote for a installed frankenlift, and to make it easier for me, they are gonna let me do the parts on lay away, then once I pay it off do the install. Its not the best scenario, but since I feel safer having it professional installed, even more so since the wife drives more highway miles then me, and I dont want that risk. And lay away isn't the best way either, but its my only option, so hey, I might have a franky in a few months (4 month goal)...

$600 for OME coils and Rancho shocks IS cheap and good.

There are 3 ways you can have a lift.

Cheap, big, and good.

Pick any two.

Nice!

I'm hoping to order the lift by the end of next month...I'm still flip-flopping on what wheels I want.

Lets not talk about tires LOL that is a whole new headache for me, I might even run my old bald stock wrangler tires just for this season, just to save some more cash

2.5" lift $1000

No matter what option your going with your gonna get the same thing, your rig lifted 2.5". How much are you willing to pay for 2.5"?

Well, the franky is offically 2.5" but most people claim about 3" more, so lets call that a 3" lift. There is also a 4 and a 6" lift, as well as a 2" spacer, a 1.5" spring lift, etc. Its not just how much you want to pay, cause you really can get a wide varity of height. I think 2.5" is so common cause after that on the KJ it is a lot of fab work right?

Go cheap now pay later....If you just want to look at it go cheap. If you want to hit rough trails with your JEEP don't.

Been there...done that...got the t-shirt....

OBIHANN, glad you made a good choise! Hope you get your kit complete before you go mental of the waiting. :D

And weather permitting I beat you guys by....ow a couple of months, installing this weekend!

Took me over 6 months to piece everything together though! (halve that time was spend here reading about it and driving everyone nuts with my questions 8) )

Thanks to all the members who helped me out getting parts from the US!!

Wont matter too much, flat S shaped piece of steel stock tacked to the cap of good ol Big Red the hydrolic beast and either the garage door will open itself or itll go through the ceiling enough to get under and get the tires out indiana jones style :P

bump stops isn't even an issue for me, id be more than glad to put in stop equal to lift and not think twice cause im a rock weenie, i prefer sand and moderate trails. my nerves got rattled when i rolled one 70 some feet down a sheer incline and managed to crawl out of an opening in the back class about a minute or so before it caught fire and burned like opossum fat, tank armor and fuel shutoffs are good to have these days

X2, you can find it all for about $650 shipped to your door and still be as high as a Frankie.

Congrats though you will love having OME!

Dont forget to convert that to canadian, then add the customs taxs, and the fees for them searching through the boxs LOL (its happened )... I know its still cheaper, but I got my mind made up, so lets let the decisions move on to a new topic... tire size

wow, I guess thats one way to look at it. but it is still more than $150 b/c you have to replace your rear shocks and you need bump stops and its a spacer so it will ride like crap and not last. so its really more than how much are you willing to pay for 2.5"
