With stock wheels, 245/75-16s. If you're ONLY running OME HDs all around, this is the biggest tire ThunderbirdJunkie would recommend

With aftermarket 16x7s with 4" BS, you can run 265/75-16s, but ThunderbirdJunkie would forsee fewer rubbing issues with a 235/85-16

the 235/85-16 are you recomending those for the stock wheels or the after market ones

Thats the size I rock. Not the best for the primordial ooze that passes for mud in FL.

When you have tera firma and the mud is less than 2ft deep, the MT/Rs in 235/85R16 are hard to beat. When it rains , it even gets sloppy at Citrus. You have to come to grips that you live 11 ft above sea level and most of your state is a swamp. Your best bet is to set up your Jeep for what you will be in MOST of the time. Unless you want to only wheel in the dry season.

I have just a tad of rubbing at full lock. I am always trimming a little here or there now. Funny thing, it is only on the passenger side. *shrug*

245/75-16s i like that they are a little wider but dose any one have a pick with these im thinking them not even being 31s with the lift they might look a little small the 235/85-16s might fill out the wheel well a little nicer i have 30s now and they look like there is to much space

Look in the pics section at nearly any KJ. 245/75/16's is the size that 90% of this board is running.

going to go with tread write 245/75R16 OTR (E) (is that a MT or an AT) or the 245/75R16 MTG (E)

Most 245/75's are actually a 30.5" tire so there is a bit of a difference. But much less work to get them to fit. Pinch weld should be it.

The OTR and MTG are both M/T style tires. Their ATB is the all terrain.

Not sure what the roads are like there your section of Florida, but if they are anything like the roads in the Jacksonville area, where they use beach sand in the concrete, I'd get the ultra grip. Those little seashells are slick when wet, and M/T's aren't very good on wet roads to begin with. Looking at the pics it looks like the MTG has a lot better siping than the OTR's do...

yes the MTG do look a lot more agressive but i dont know how comfortble they would be on the road

I see the time stamps are messing up again...

The MTG's aren't as aggressive as the OTR's but will ride a lot better on the street (less lug slap, more traction, smoother ride) and in wet weather (has siping, the OTR's don't).

then every thing said with all the rain we have in fl the OTRs are probably my best bet and with the slick roads we have probably like the roads you have i should go with the ultra grip?

sound like a plan to you LJ rockys youve been here what do you think

Between the two I would go MTG's!

OTR's = Very Loud, very rough, OK dry traction, crappy wet traction, excellent offroad.

MTG's = a little louder than an AT, good dry traction, OK wet traction, very good offroad.

Your Tire and Alignment guy is trying to make a sale. Retreads (such as Treadwright) are governed by the same standards set by DOT and NHSA as new tires. 99% of all commercial trucks are running retreads AMOF.
