Anyone know how to turn on "Parade Mode" lighting?
Evidently (according to the service manual) the interior Vacuum flourescents can be changed to a "full bright" mode with the driving lights on.
My multi function switch went, and with it, my dimmer control. So, during the day, if I turn on my lights I cannot see my radio display.
If Ican toggle this mode on/off easily it would be a big help.

Any clues? The manual says it exists but i find no reference to how to engage it!

on mine it's on the dimmer switch.. turn the dimmer switch to full bright then there is one click (which is the mode you want that keeps the radio lights bright) and the next click (the absolute top) is the interior lights.

Edit:

Yeah, sadly, I figured that out by reading further.

I was hoping it was a "selectable" function somehow other than using the multi function switch which is what went on mine. Oh well, everything works but the interior lighting so I guess I'll leave it.

Cacher, the multifunction switch is less than 100 bucks (way less at some places) and sooooo easy to replace. All you need is a torx screwdriver. This place has it for under $50:
