Kingston Peak/Yankee Hill/ Miner's Gulch Trails

So after a few weeks in the making, me and KJ IN CO finally were able to make it out and hit the trail...

Meeting In Idaho Springs

So at this point, we could have driven the 8 miles in to Alice, but we decided to take the road less traveled and go the back way in

Once through Alice, we start the climb up some trail that I still have no idea on how KJ IN CO found

From the water on down, the trail was very easy and the road was well maintained

Always loved the pond that is left from the melting snow. We had two almost side by side but it looks like they may have blocked the one off with those wooden fence posts. I don't remember seeing those there the last time.....though it was very very foggy when we were there last.

Nice pics.....never knew there were trails in Idaho Springs.....but in George Town there might me some...

Nice pictures, It seems like you could see a hundred miles when you get above the tree line.

Great pics! Thanx for posting them. I want to go out on a trail like that but my current schedule keeps me from doing anything at all. I'm also studying for the ASVAB right now so I have absolutely no time for fun. :cry:

Would a stock Liberty have been able to do that trail without skids?

You will hit rocks underneath, guaranteed. My skids hit many a rock on that trail even with a lift ( and stock tires).

When the day comes that I have the time/money to lift and add skids I'll be primed and ready for some runs in the mountains.
