No one has added a second battery that I know of. With out mounting the battery on the inside of the KK, there are not many options for mounting. A second alternator shouldn't be necessary since the KK has a 160A alt which is way larger than the KJ's ever had...

Ok, sweet...this is my idea, since my ride here in about a week is gonna be on 33s, ill have no use for the stock spare and my spare would NEVER fit under that compartment...so this is what i was thinking: mount a 2nd battery in a marine battery box somewhere under there. Not sure how itll work, but just something i was considering so i wont have to have it in the cargo area in the cabin

Im thinknig that between now: 4 x 125W fog lights, CB radio and soon: 4 more 125W fog lights, winch and a 1000W power inverter, im gonna need that 2nd battery

Not a bad idea. I was looking at on of the 4x4 books I get and say either a ford or a dodge drag truck that had dual batteries mounted to a frame that was lifted and lowered by the spare tire winch...

Check out this set up:

The KJ renny got a 160amp alt,the standard KJ alt is 136amps which is well more then enough. If your dimming with a 160amp alternator you need bigger power wires to those accessories,a better battery also helps.

I got the 136amp alt,the renny lightbar,2 HID KC's,two 10" subs with a 750watt mono amp,and a WARN winch and I get no dimming at all.The Odyessy PC1500 is a amazing battery(same as Sears Diehard Platinum P4).

I am with TJKJ on this one.

My truck has a few amps and hard hitting Sub and I was dimming.
Then I redid a few thing.

I got better wires, I added an extra ground to the battery.
THen I added in 1 Cap to the Sub amp.

Now All lights are bright and never dimm.
I also have a good battery, not the best, but I had a budget when at Autozone.

I also clean the battery and coat it to preven issues.

A cap isn't guaranteed to fix the issue. A cap can sometimes cause more problems than it does fix them because now the the battery is powering the alternator and the cap. Best bet is to go with a yellow top battery. IMO
