The lights are through the steel under the plastic bumper cover, so no shaking. Works very well, beside the fact that i cant point the lights up at all bcz they are close to the grille

some info that i found that a guy on jeepforum posted in the WJ area

[QUOTE=lvum4x4;10733021]I would recommed that you consider quality over quantity when it comes to lighting. My setup is a little unique for this forum but LED technology has come a long way and ultimately offers many returns on the overall investment. Try to think of you lighting needs in terms of how much light output you want to project (total lumens), then you can calcluate your power needs appropriately for any given solution (halogen, HID, LED, etc...). It is not always better to just have a bunch of KC style lights on your vehicle; think of the efficiency rating for the lights you choose.

Lets take a simple KC (halogen) style lightbar with 4 lights:

The average amperage (or total power draw) that each light will draw will be about 8.3 amps per bulb (100w) for a total of 33.2 amps so you will need to use a 40amp relay to safely run that configuration. My WJ OEM alternator has a rating of 136amps for the whole vehicle so 4 KC style lights would equate to close to 25% of the total power availble for the vehicle. It is hard to determine the total lumen output for a 100w halogen but my best guess would place the light output somewhere around 150-200 lumens or 600-800 lumens total for 4 lights (my math could be off but the pattern should be evident) and that would have a power consumption of about 33 amps.

Now look at a modern style LED configuration like mine ...my 40" LED lightbar puts out 14,525 lumes at a total power cost of 12.67 amps. Can you now see what I am referring to in terms of efficiency? HID's will be somewhere between the two but it should be obvious that with today's technology, more is not always better so try to do your homework - you should start to see that you can leverage technology to your advantage.

How many amps do you think this guys is running?

Here is my setup:

that is 100% true.

how with that said i do like to experiment with lo cost lights because like you said technology has come a long way and you dont need to expect to pay over the top prices for quality lighting.
example i paid full price for my headlight hidsand only 50 for my fog lights which work just as good if not better. this is not to say "there is no risk and always buy the cheap" , but every now and then you find a gem or two.

LEDs have come a long way aswell make sure to find a good quality LED the will provide proper drivng light and not just look prowerfull. remember LED light still need reflextors to project so try to find some that already have a nice set up.
these are all good setups that very in price

these good make great reverse lights
