Just drove to Calgary. 8 hours through the
Rockies at highway speeds...no problems. Love the tunes!

My new converter (600SP) is installed and working just fine. I did some test drives today including some low rpm hill climbs and accelerating up hill from low rpm and I can't get it to shudder - so mission accomplished. Hell of a job to install it though.

How is the coverter holding up?

Yeah in general driving it's fine, but I admit that I can force what seems to be some sort of shudder in the TC in certain circumstances like when going up a steep hill while towing a load and really standing on it - but it is no where near the problems that I had with the stock one ie it's managable. I am running the GDE Full Torque tune, it might be worse with the Hot tune.

As a budget upgrade it's ok as it's much cheaper than the alternatives.

I've been talking to johnny over there.

he said the upgraded springs we need will not be available until march.

any TC's bought from them so far have just been re manufactured using the original smaller springs....

Thank you for your email.

We can produce 600SP unit with newer heavy duty springs in March.

The price will be little higher.

Thank you again,

Johnny

I plan to buy one as soon as they're available with the new springs...

the stock springs just bottom out with anything over 240-300 ft/lbs (depending on how worn they are) then you get your driveline hard linked to your engine, and you can feel every power stroke..... (shudder)

The shock from each power stroke will eventually break things like u-joints.....

the downside to stiffer springs is a less "refined" feel while driving (you hear all the suncoast guys mention it)

IDParts in Mass is working with GDE on the Euro. Supposedly, Corey has gotten them to lift the export only and Keith is opening one to make sure it is indeed the heavy duty Euro. If that is the case, we should be able to order shortly. I sure know I need one ASAP.

Thats good for both of us since we are both in new england. So the euro spec can handle a hot tune? what is the price on the euro tc?
