What is the best/simplest budget lift for the KK? My XK has a Rough Country strut spacer lift at the moment(soon to be no more), but my boss wants to lift his wife's KK, 2" basically. Do you guys use strut spacers or clevis lifts? I know zilch about libertys. Her is '12 Arctic Circle, Trail Rated. Thx

Stay away from spacer lifts. OME is your best bet

X2 on the OME springs and shocks.
The whole lift is around $800.

You can get OME springs from JBA
Bilstein front shocks from online
Then dodge dukota rear shocks from napa.

Be under 700 if your a good shopper

Spacers or budget lift cosy more over time then ome does.

Spend the dough on ome.

Well I'm not the one lifting it. 95% sure it won't be wheeled. He's just looking for 2" and to fit some nice all terrain. Is there an issue with the clevis lift? I harbor seen it used much.

What's the net lift in the rear with the Dakota springs? Seems like if they give enough, you could just lift the front with bilstein 5100

If he loves his wife he'd get the spring lift. It'll ride a ton better with it. Shocks also don't lift vehicles.

We don't get the fancy 5100 shocks that have adjustable perches like WKs and XKs. And the rear is Dakota 4x4 shocks, not springs. The KK has rear coil springs not leafs.

Ooh, my bad. I didn't read it right, I read springs. They really don't make the 5100 for the KK? [SMIRKING FACE] sad times. We'll see

It dosent matter if its offroaded or not. My 02 and 06 is 90% onroad. My 04 is 2wd and 100% on road. It has a OME lift.

Ride quality will improve with OME

Agree with the above messages. I find it funny always that people say " it will never be offroad"
Doesn't make any difference, upgraded full spring suspension system will make it ride and handle 100 times better than it ever did brand new.
Most everyone that we've done lifts for here at my place said they wished they would of done it sooner.
My 04 was lifted at 20,000 miles, for me it 19,999 too many miles on the stock suspension
So do it right with a full spring lift, will be so much better than the crappy riding stock suspension ever was

Not to jack the thread but i am also looking to lift my 08 jeep liberty with 113k on it, about 2 to 3 inches max to be safe I'm on the budget, never had experience with lifted jeeps, I recently bought a set of quick strut assemblies for the front, was going to buy ott brackets since assemblies are not installed yet but heard that it damages more components, so what are the easiest way or what parts to buy to get lift done,I want to reuse my quick struts or parts since they are new and do the right lift ,would rk x factor work in my case?, for x factor lift I would be willing to install it myself i am also looking at the possibility to get ome ecOno lift as well, and approximate $$ it would cost me for the install and parts
What part# from ecOno lift either together or separate do I need or any additional parts I need to get it done , I see budget lift lists only one shock option for the rear on jba website , I heard extended ome is better and where to buy it I appreciate any replies and sorry i made it so long..

First just sell the quick struts and buy a full spring lift kit.
There is NO spacer lift that is worth installing if you want any kind of decent ride and have something that will last for a while
If you want a good lift go to JBA and buy the OME full spring lift which comes with shocks etc.
If you want 3 inches of lift ( OME by itself gives you 2.5 inches ) you can add a 1/4 inch top plate and one extra upper isolater per side in the rear and you'll have 3 inches over new stock height.
best time to do it right is the first time
By the way the fron quick strust fit everything from 2002-2012 Libertys so someone who wants stock will buy them

So which ome spring kit do you recommend?
I can only do ecOno lift, since quick struts would be hassle to sell I wanna use struts mounts out of it if it's worth it since my front has some milage i don't think I can reuse the stock oes, I understand that ecOno lift just includes shocks and ome springs correct?

Confusing yourself or maybe just me
There are OME kits which include the springs and shocks
there is a TM Econo kit that has different spring combinations/ UCAs etc all in one package
Also you can just remove the whole ( stock ) front shock/ spring combo from yours, take it to a shop to have them compress them, and install the new springs and shocks with your old parts, nothing wrong with them.
948 front springs etc but if you get the KK OME full kit it has them listed

Thanks for reply I know you are an expert in the lift kits
Let me put it this way I am interested in ome 1.5 inch kit
Do I need longer bump stops up front like teraflex and for rear I just reuse stock insulators top and bottom? am I correct? Can't do a full spring kit at this time..

With the OME you actually get 2.5 inches of lift
So yes the teraflex bumpstops could be used
let me explain ( could be) the OME have built in bumpstops in there shocks that should keep them from compressing too much and blowing them out.
The teraflx bumpstops are just added insurance on them
Of course if using anything other shock than OME you must use the extra bumpstops
