I ended up with a new set of almost new 5 BFG TKO's, stock size (circa $1300), and I was wondering if I should just run them, especially since cash it tight these days. But, I don't want it to look ridiculous. I can't get a good idea of how they are going to look unless I paid to mount them to other wheels... Any input?
Next time I buy a set they will be 245/75 Duratracs, but that's another story.

I have that setup on my KK, but have wheel spacers as well. I get told all the time it looks great.

I ran stock size A/T's with my lift until they wore out and I got larger Duratracs. I think they looked fine at the time.

Ill dig around for a pic. I had stocks on ome lift for a few months, but like gageraid i has spacers too. I think it looked fine, my wheels were also plastidipped black so it all kind of flowed at a glance. Between the black wheels/tires/inner wheel well/flares and body all being black, you almost had to look to see what was what. I know ihave some pics somewhere ill post up here

sweet, thanks! I'm going to move them over to some 4.5" BS wheels, and since you all have made me confident, I might as well run them. I had two sets of the gen 1's a long time ago, and my 4runner did great in the snow and mud with them. I'll just have to hold out for the BA Duratracs for a few years :(

now I just need to decide on wheels. here's what I'm thinking http://jbaoffroad.com/index.php/jeep/li ... black.html

Opinions?

Edit: oh dang, I can't run these on 8" wheels. I guess I'll have to run some spacers until it's Duratrac time. But, I still wonder what you guys think of those Baja wheels

Those are cool looking rims. If you'd rather have the Duratracs than the Baja's right now because you only have money for one or the other, the 245/75/16 Duratracs do work well on the stock rims if you're lifted. That's what I'm running right now. Then you could replace the stock rims later if you want.

Those wheels do look good, BUT if running them then instead of 245-75-16s someday go with 265-70-16s, same height as the 245-75s but wider and sit on an 8 inch wide wheel so much better
and no those are too wide for a 225-75-16
Another thing to look at on thsoe is the backspacing, with an 8 inch wide 5 inch is perfect, 4.5 inch backspacing not so much

Alright, thanks again fellas. So that's why I don't see people running the ones from JBA? I guess I'll go look and see if JBA has any 5 inch BS wheels. Moabs seem to be about as common as albino unicorns where I'm at. I REALLY should have robbed the one set off a jeep I had, but I needed to sell it, and didn't want to buy new wheels for it :banghead:

Tom, So, those wheels would stick out an extra 1/2" and probably hit the fender at full stuff? Back to craigslist to check for Moabs is turning into a weekly venture, but I only see 17" ers, lots of em.

I would love to see some pics too, especially if someone was running the soft 8s with 4 " of backspace

Thats with ome 926/948. No clevis or added isolators. Also just days after lifting so it was at its highest. Definately settled down a touch since then. Doing a clevis and isolator on my day off probably, or when the jba arms get ordered
