Driving down the road yesterday and the gear shift came off. It shifted very loose for a few miles while you're in a state of dis-belief, and then it pulled out of a big rubber grommet inside. I kinda crammed it back in there, it went to my surprise and fortunately, I was only about 1/2 mile from the dealership. They put it back together and did not charge me. Said they'd never seen that before.
Didn't I just read somewhere last week where this happened to someone else?
Then, the lever, locking thingy that supposed to lock your steering wheel column is now decided it's going to simply fall down. Anyone discover a way to tighten that thing? I sure couldn't.
That'll wedge up nice with a folded piece of cardboard. Great.

I wanted to learn what we do about these particular problems, surely these two issues have been discussed before?
If you can, please do coach me on how to better use the search feature as I don't seem to drill the bedrock for answers, so I usually just ask.
