For the past couple of months, the fuel tank on my KJ overflows regardless of gas station or pump. Any ideas on how to make it shut the pump off as designed?

Are you inserting the nozzle completely into the fill neck? Do you always squeeze the handle on the nozzle completely to obtain maximum flow-rate? There's really nothing you can do to the Jeep to make the pump shut off - this is a design in the pump nozzle. Although, on second thought, it may be possible that your fill neck is damaged or bent...so many possibilities here and questions to ask...ever have any work done on the gas tank that necessitated it's removal?

Mine only overflows when I fill my tank all the way. It gushes out just a bit but eventually stops. I since have stopped filling up to the max and only fill up a certain amount.

Never had the gas tank removed. I have had the KJ for five years and never had this problem until the past couple of months. I don't think the pump is the culprit I have tried different pumps from different gas stations. Also, my other vehicle does not have this problem from the same pumps.
