Last year I posted here looking for a nice KJ. KJKyle and I nearly had a deal worked out, but understandably, him trading is DD KJ for my Trail Rig YJ fell through. viewtopic.php?f=113&t=43062&hilit=trade+wrangler This led to the tough decision to part the YJ and that has successfully occurred.

I'd still like to find a nice KJ. The TJ is awesome and currently my DD but just doesn't fit my family well. I'd like something with a "little" larger interior. A little bit about my TJ:

It is a 4 cyl, 5 speed currently. 80,000 miles With many upgrades.
Currie HP D44 front axle ARB locker 4.56 gears
Currie HP9 inch Rear axle ARB locker 4.56 gears
Heavy bumpers front and rear
Full roll cage
Scorpion Bedlined interior under the factory original carpet
Interior in excellent condition.
Hardtop
3.5” RE Superflex lift
JB Conversions SYE
33x12.5x15 Bfg ATs with 90% tread
15x10 Rockcrawler rims
Rockmen corner guards.
Bar Offroad Rocker guards
Kilby Gas Tank Skid
Xenon Flares
Chromoly tie-rod

It has been offroaded and has a few dings and scratches. Both front fenders are bent, but I’ve bought brand new fenders to replace them. Not installed yet. I’ve also bought a 2002 4.0 engine with an NV3550 Transmission w/56,000 miles to do a swap, that I’d include with a trade. I would consider completing the swap for the right KJ. I used to own an offroad shop and actually built this Jeep for a customer of mine. I'm constantly tinkering with this thing so upgrades will continue. I just rebuilt the control arms and replaced all the tierod ends last week (After 80K miles on the lift it was getting a little loose)

What I would like for trade is a KJ with similar mileage, a lift and decent tires. Ideally, I'd love to have ARB lockers as well. Not a "must-have", though.

Let me know if you know anyone looking for a TJ. I'm near Cincinnati on the east side.

These pics were taken last year. I'll add current pics Monday evening. I'm taking it camping this weekend.

I can email pics off a 2005 3.7L/6spd/241 Kj with a OME/top plate front/spacer rear lift on 245/75/r16 M/T's with an Aussie for the rear. Less than 75,000 miles. And I am close....

Let me know what you think.

I got a 2002 KJ, brand new engine with 5k miles on it, 107k on the jeep itself, np231 t-case, the much better 45RFE auto tranny, OME/Rancho lift, engine and tranny skid, front tow hooks, evic overhead console, some organic pinstripes, but they'll buff out.

I'm in Florida though.

You don't want to trade your KJ, you want me to get a TJ.
You've done too much hard work on your KJ to trade, I haven't don't enough work. :p

Plus, you can drive around florida toples and doorless more than you can in Ohio. :goink:

Thanks for all the offers, guys.

Incommando's Jeep is exactly what I'm looking for. Especially with the manual transmission and LOCAL address.

KJWildman's Jeep IS nice, but way more modded than I'd like. Right on the edge of needing all the HD parts my TJ already has. I don't really want to spend that money again :D .

Budke's Jeep may or may not be right. Seems like he is having a lot of problems, recently. Plus he is WAY down there in FL.

Tahoe....NO WAY I'm going to get between your wife and her Jeep! :-)r

We'll see how things go. Nothing is set, yet.

InCommandos is a nice ride for sure
Tahoe would be in a ton of trouble....of course at least its warm now so the dof house wouldn't be too cold.
I know you want a nice looking KJ, but since mine is not up for trade guess you'll have to go to another one :ROTFL:

Tom,
I KNOW you have a nice ride. Read about it here first and over on EXPO recently.

Are those the new Goodyears?

Yes got the Duratracs last September doing a great job in the snow this past winter, did really good in mud, sand at the Badlands also
Have about 12,000 on them so far, little hum on the road but otherwise would buy another set.
So you're over on Expedition Portal as well? Thats a great site, spend way too much time over there if nothing else reading old trip reports etc.
The TJ you have now looks like its setup really well, did a good job on it.

My jeep is the right choice for you! Plus, its black. :D
I wouldn't say I'm having lots of problems.
Just a single problem.
Seeing how this tranny thing pans out the jeep may end up with a new tranny so you'd pretty much end up with a brand new jeep.
New engine, tranny, and suspension. Better than something that may break unsuspectingly. :D

Jason,

I like the 2007. I just swapped a 4.0 into my TJ.

I'll give you a call tomorrow.

Thanks.
