I still do not like getting anywhere near a pit that I do not know. My leg hurts just thinking about it.(I will never forget that one bite). All I have to do is look at my thigh that will away's be deformed a little.
Logical, neither would I. I have that same thing with timing belts. Everytime I touch one, the hair in my neck stands up and I get a little nocious. I lost a piece of my rh indexfinger years ago between a camsprocket and a timing belt (freak accident).
Back on track: Our dogs also have a chip implanted.(Mandatory, or no license. No chip: illegal dog) Cops and animal rescue workers or every Vet has a scanner. So they can scan your dog and your details pop up in a computer database. Good thing if they ever get lost for example.
Also, if they get into an accident or bite someone, the owner can be traced back because of that chip. That makes you as owner very aware of liability. Maybe that would be a good start for responsible dogownership if that was mandatory for all dogs...(overhere only for PDD, possibly dangerous dogs)
