Some food for thought, this is some of the stuff that you'll need to have in your KJ when you head out to the beach.
I just carry around a cheap fishing role, a 14 dollar toilet from Richard's sporting goods, a shovel to dig myself out in case i get stuck, a jackboard to put the jack under, a snatch strap, and an air compressor. Some beaches dont have an airing up station so thats why you should carry one, and dont be cheap when you buy an air compressor because you'll hate yourself later

NY State 4x4 Permit InformationPermits can be purchased at: Robert Moses State Park, Belmont Lake State Park, & Montauk Downs (golf course).
Dates Of Sale: January 2, to April 30th,
Tues. After Labor Day to Dec. 31,
Annual Fee for the permit is $65.00
The NYS permit allows access to the following outer beaches: Gilgo, Cedar (Sore Thumb area), Robert Moses (Democrat Point), Napeague, Hither Hills, and Montauk Point.
