How hard is it to retrofit the 05 trans skid on a 04? i've seen a write up somewhere, but i can't find it. i've installed the 3 other mopar skids this week but i don't like the open space around the trans.

Easy. You need to drill 2 holes BUT 1 bolt lines up on the front and 1 on the back, so if you’re like me and this is temporary until I get get the cash for a all j's superskid it works no drilling required.

And I have brush it on some good rocks a time or 2.

I did the same thing. Very easy.

BTW, I'd suggest that you don't try to use nutzerts (for the bolts in the rear). Just drill all the way through the crossmember and fasten the bolts with washers and nuts. Holds really well, and you won't have to fight with nutzerts.
