First of all, running 265/75R16's. BFG MudTerrains I've ground off the pinch weld and there is no rubbing there. However, I still have the rubbing on the front of the wheel well. If anyone who has solved this problem could please post how they have fixed this, I'd appreciatte it! I dont' want to cut it all out and modify everything. I know there are ways to "suck it forward" so they don't rub. Please share what you have done to pull the plastic forward enough that it doesn't rub. Thanks a lot |

I thought cutting / grinding the pinch weld was a big no-no? Quinn at All-J told me they've seen seperation problems with people who cut theirs off. I'd keep an eye on it. |

Yes, just pounding it down is a better option. Keep an eye on it and if the area begins to seperate make sure you put some reinforcement plating in there to hold it. |

What backspacing are you running? I have 265/75's with 16x7 rims with 4.5" BS and no rub at all(pinch weld pounded down of course). |

I rub in the front air dam with 245/75/16 at almost full lock so it must be really bad on yours. I have wheel spacers though. Like everyone said i would trim the area. |

Oh ok... thanks for the heads up on the pinch weld. I'll have to look at that. I will take a close look at it tonight. Would a bead weld down the joint keep things tight? Thanks for the help and info. There is quite a bit of rubbing when I turn the wheels, especially if I'm on any amount of angle. Also, I stuffed the rear HARD one time, I was on opposing front and rear tires while the other two were in the air. When I backed off, the rear tire pulled one of the plastic gromets out of the plastic fender flare. I got a new gromet and put it back in, no worries, but something to keep in mind. Any ideas on how to "suck forward" the front inner fender liner? Also, the little "doors" that cover the fog lights are now gone from mud and crap tearing at them. Any ideas for that? If you have any ideas, please get back to me! Thanks a lot |

You could heat the plastic and push it out of the way. ![]() |
