Post subject:  Lift ? On the right track

I just purchased an 05 CRD. I'm wanting to upgrade the stock Goodyears asap. I have decided not to do a complete lift right now and go another direction. I'm thinking about the 3 conduit nut clevis lit and the 2 per side spring isolator lift for now and adding a-arms and a lift later on. From what I've read, this set-up should give me abot 3/4 of an inch in the front and 1 1/2 in the rear. With this in mind what are my tire size options going to be. I have been looking at Toyo OC 235/75 r16, General AT2/Toyo OC 245/70 r16 and if possible General AT2/Toyo OC 245/75 r 16. I'm will be taking it off so rubbing is a concern.

that would give around 3/4in on the front and 1in on the rear. I wouldnt go over 245/70/16 with the tires. :)

235/75/16s will fit @ ~29.8"...Toyo or Hercules makes some great AT's in that size...Open Country and Terra Trac AT, respectively.

The 235/75/16s will fit without the lift so you could buy the tires now and do the lift later to save some money for a better lift option.

Well I done it today. I purchased four spacers and six conduit nuts and ordered five 245/70 r16 General Grabber AT2s today. Total parts for the lift cost me $46.00 and some change. If I'm mot happy, I'm not out much money. I'm really pumped to see how it will look without those bananna skins on all four corners. Thanks for the info guys

That is going to be close...you should be able to fit them but you still may experience a tiny bit of rubbing in a tight turn. Your tires will be just shy of 30 inches. I think it will work out well though.

245/70's don't rub at all even when stock.
