I've been lurking here for a while and joined the forum the other day, finally. I've struggled a bit with the search function here but always try that option first before asking a question. Anyway...
Thank you fdezone for posting the variety of lift kits for all to see.
My situation is that I can't afford to go wrong on a lift kit purchase... It's not a money thing, it's a wife thing! It's her everyday vehicle so it's got to be reliable, "smooth" riding (relatively speaking), long lastling qualitity pieces, etc. When I started my search for a lift kit I figured 2" would be all that I'd wanted/needed but finding 2 1/2" is really popular. I found this site too! I'm looking to purchase springs, shocks, struts, etc. Her (Amy's) Jeep is still wearing all the OE pieces and tires, it's time to upgade. I am also looking at the MOAB Ebay knock-off and Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 245/75R16's as an added piece of info.
What I need to ask is subject to opinion but, I looking for recommendations on a quality kit and quality customer service. Who makes the best kit for my given criteria?
If you guys/gals need information, ask me. I gotta start somewhere.
Thanks,
Clark
P.S. 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport, 3.7L V6, auto...
you are in my steps
I was in this same spot just about a year ago
wifes '03 needed shocks/struts and tires were not far off
I took a leap of faith and got OME springs ,med. duty, and OME shocks
with rancho struts
Great ride ,better than stock
it is higher but not bad
Now on to the "mistake" I made
I got a GREAT deal on some 245/75 MTR's ,$50 a tire for 2 w/0 miles ,2 with ~5K and 1 8-10K
they are loud and hum and she is not "impressed" but she also knows we saved $500+ on tires so it is OK
I say get the OME stuff but if she will have the slightest issue with noise then nothing more than an AT
