Hey guys, me and a few friends are doing a run of the Box Canyon Trail this Saturday, November 17. We are meeting at the McDonalds on the south west corner of Arizona Ave and Riggs Road at 8:00 a.m. We will fill up with gas and Mcd's and then head out towards florence to hit the trail. We are planning on ending the trail at the 60. So far we have four vehicles, but the more the merrier.

If you are interested in joining us please let me know so we can expect you guys there. I have done this trail a few times and it is always a lot of fun. Here are some photos: http://www.expeditionswest.com/adventures/2005/Coke_ovens/index.html

Hope to see you there.

Carlos

So you're going to go in the south end and go upstream? Hmmm, I've never run it that way before, always go in off Cottonwood Canyon Rd. and head down the canyon. I'd love to do this run but I'll be in Wickenburg that Saturday. Hope you have fun and take some cool pictures 8)

Will do. We have actually done this trail a few times in this direction and I think it is more fun as it has some cool ascents rahter than going down. I'll post a link with some photos once we return...

That's cuz it's posted over on jeepkj.com :P If you're still wanting to go I think I'll be heading out that way. Looks like we'll be the only two but that's OK. It'll be nice to have another red KJ in the gang, I was beginning to feel kinda lonely  :( :P

Im so confused on what this means. Are you doing a trip somwhere else on the 17th? just the two of you or are you running this trail on a later date? Er what?

Either the 17th for this trip sounds fun... Im gonna try and coordinate freeing up that time so i can go...

As far as I know this is the only run on the 17th, and there is the one down south on the 24th with a possible alternate for those who can't/don't want to travel that far. Pearl (minimedic) had originally posted for a closer run the weekend of the 24th since she only had one day off - now she has to attend school that Saturday so she isn't able to make it. I had offered to help her with that run since I will be coming back from an out of town trip the 23rd and can't make it down to Bisbee. I am still willing to go out with whoever may be interested on the closer run and am NOT trying to steal any thunder from Mike's run.

Now back to our thread, already in progress. Ryan, check your PMs.

I disagree with your reasoning for having just one board for these things. I just simply believe the threads to be unclear.

Either way now that things are cleared up. Ill be attending the trip on the 17th (this thread) and look forward to seeing you all there. =)

no probs, just trying to make everything easier for us to all understand. with all the cross-posting (i'm guilty of it too) things get all mixed up.

As far as being able to hit Box Canyon this weekend, I'm out too have a wedding to attend. Going upstream sounds like a fun time. take pics, especially of the waterfall.
