Greetings, all. I am Ranger Joe, Defender of Bunnies, here to absorb as much info about offroading in Jeep Liberties as I can. I was a former seasonal park ranger at Shenandoah National Park (hence the name) and I do a lot of photography (hence the login name). I live the idyllic pastoral lifestyle on the Amish Frontier east of Cleveland, Ohio with my wife Linda, a collie named Claymore, a greyhound named Jack and four kitties.

I've done a bit of offroading over the years on various vacations out west, but it wasnt until a trip to Oregon in 2006 that I actually got to drive an actual Jeep. It was a rental with wimpy road tires that we managed to get stuck on a rotting snowbank near Crater Lake. After a free AAA tow from a Forest Service road, we returned home and began shopping for a Liberty to call our own.

Three years later and we're planning our second trip to Utah and Colorado with it. Does anybody out there think I'm nuts for wanting to drive Elephant Hill in Canyonlands? As it turns out, we'll be in Colorado at the same time as the Jeep Jamboree in Ouray, so it looks like we're gonna try to fit that into our trip as well.

Thats it for now. Brain is set for "absorb".

Best group of Liberty owners / members is right here in Ohio!
Ask any question we'll try and help you out!

Oh and so the Amish are moving in up there as well? Down in Southeastern Ohio they own half the farms around where I own! Great neighbors though
